You might not expect to see this one on this list, but if you are handy in the kitchen then head to Globus for the very best meat, fish, and other fresh ingredients to prepare at home. It's expensive, but you can't beat the quality. There is also an extensive wine shop, with a house sommelier featuring everything from top Magnums to off-the-beaten-track pours that are ideal as a house wine to drink over a few days.

It is first a very posh department store, nicely arranged and goods of great quality. On the ground floor they have a lot of delicious food-booth, Asian, fresh pizza, fresh salads, desserts. Downstairs you have a deli, with foods from all parts of the world. Not inexpensive but worth a stroll - the main store is much bigger and at the famous Bahnhofstrasse.
