About 40-45 minutes away and near Rockingham Vermont (Vermont county’s store) a Hallmark a Christmas movie was filmed in Chester Vermont.

Broad menu with generous portions and the food is consistently good. Get the onion rings (SO good) and a slice of pie from the shop a few doors down for dessert. If you can, sit out front on the porch or on the deck out back – some of the tables have firepits. Reservations recommended.

Nice tavern with live music weekly. Front porch dining in nice weather. Formal dining inside.

Recently (during COVID) guests told me about this place in Chester, a few minutes north.I haven’t been able to check it out yet. (Fall 2022) But check the link. Very positive reviews from previous guests.
