You can approach this trail from within Windcliff. Social trail starts at southern switch back in St Moritz road. Follow to trail junction on the saddle between Rams Horn and Lily mountains.

Want all the views of Rocky Mountain National Park without actually going into the park? Like hiking but don't want to be overrun with fellow hikers at the trail? If yes, then this is the hike for you! Located outside of Estes Park, this hike overlooks RMNP, and has incredible views at the end. You have to work a bit for the payoff (approximately 4-mile round trip and 1,200 ft of vertical), but it's worth it at the top! Bonus: dogs are allowed on the trail (they aren't allowed in the national park).

This is an excellent choice for people just arriving at altitude. It’s a relatively short hike, with moderate elevation increase, with a gorgeous payout at the summit! Nearly 360 degree views from the top, this is a great photo op! The one drawback about this trail is the lack of parking. There is NO dedicated parking at this trailhead, so get here early to get one of the few spots on the shoulder of the road.
