Laura Ingalls Wilder is a famous author who grew up in a pioneer family and wrote several books about her experiences growing up on the Dakota plains. The Laura Ingalls Wilder experience which I offer is unique in that I give a tour of the homestead and dugout areas, which is normally a self-tour, so this enhances the adventure. There is an additional tour of the original Surveyor's House and House That Pa Built, in the town of Desmet, which a member of the Laura Ingalls Society will give you. It is worthy to have a local expert like myself give you a tour, to make more out of your stay.
