San Juanillo is a beautiful beach roughly 45 mins away where you can enjoy the day at the beach and snorkel. There are a few good restaurants in town as well.

15-minute drive – Picturesque fishing village with local restaurants and basic needs food stores. This beach is a really cool peninsula with a cove where the local fisherman keep their boats. Some have day trips for fishing or cruising around. Nice white sandy beaches. The beach is really cool. On the weekends it gets full of locals and tourists. Best time to go is early in the morning on the weekends or anytime during the week. Take a Right out Back Gate to the bottom and turn Left at Main Road. Drive for roughly 10 min and look for signs for San Juanillo on Right. Turn Right at signs. Go to the end of the road, you will pass stores and restaurants, and turn left. Follow this around to the beach, go all the way to the back for best beach access. Enjoy.

Excellent beach about 40 minutes away. Worth the trip as it's got 2 beaches to explore and plenty of space for a picnic. When the food vendors come I recommend trying some of the ceviche. The drive past Optional is also quite picturesque during the high season and offers some challenges when the rainy season visits.

A white sand beach. Nice trees for shade. Good to swim or take a boat trip. There is also a place where you can buy fresh fish from the local fishermen.
