Morganton Point Recreation Area sits on the shores of Lake Blue Ridge – a 3,290-acre lake that boasts 60 miles of shoreline and ample outdoor activities such as kayak rentals and stand-up paddle boards. The day use area offers secluded swimming, hiking trails, picnicking, boating and fishing.

Overlooking Lake Blue Ridge, this recreation area offers camping, picnicking, boating, swimming, fishing and hiking. The area has 37 campsites, 13 picnic tables and a shelter. There is a paved boat launch and a pebble beach. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent. Open mid-April through mid-September.

Summertime? Head over to our little "beach" by the mountains. It's lovely! You'll need water shoes if you want to be comfortable on the rocky lake bed, but no worries --they sell them in the shop where you can also rent a paddle board, kayaks, etc.

Many activities here at the beautiful Lake Blue Ridge! Swim at the recreation area, rent a boat, kayak or paddleboard or float. Located 15 min from the cabin.
