Au Lac is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Like Cafe Gratitude, it's half gourmet raw food and half gourmet cooked food vegan restaurant. The chef is known around the world for his wonderful vegan creations and considering how special the food is, it's not too expensive. This restaurant is gorgeous and elegant (but it's L.A. so you can wear anything), just across the street from Disney Hall. On weekend evenings, they have wonderful cabaret shows in their lovely cabaret bar. You would need to book the show in advance and make a reservation for the restaurant on Friday and Saturday night, as they often sell out, especially for seating before the show.
