The Big Cat Sanctuary is unfortunately necessary due to lax laws of people adopting leopard, tiger, cougar and other big cats young and then not being able to deal with their needs as they grow. Also, hunting, trapping and canned ( fenced ) hunts are often provided by zoos who shuttle grown animals out of the door to provide appealing young kits and cubs for human entertainment in zoos and at Timbavati Wildlife Park in the Dells. I DO NOT support Timbavati which has one of the most damaging wildlife dealers in the state - he makes millions of dollars off trading backdoor wildlife to roadside zoos and has taken black bear cubs across the state lines into Illinois to sell them to slaughter.

Jeff and Jenny Kozlowski established "Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue" in March of 2005. We have been working with big cats for about 9 years, and have had our own since 2002. We are licensed by the USDA , and are also a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

This is a non-profit organization. Is listed as a zoo, but it is more educational. They rescue Lions, Tigers, and Leopards. They have night tours, and morning feeding tours. You can buy a meal [a chicken] which they will feed to one of the big cats. When that 4-wheeler comes by, all the big cats are at attention. It really is a great experience.
