Torreya State Park is located North of Bristol, FL with the Park overlooking the Apalachicola River. This park is great for a hike and to also, sightsee the Gregory House. The Gregory House is a mansion, that was built during the Civil War that overlooks the River. I can remember taking a field trip as a child from the Hosford Elementary School on a school bus to see the Gregory House. Just beautiful place to go an enjoy this natural environment that may give you an sense of wonder.

There are miles of hiking trails through hardwood ravines, seepage streams, longleaf pine woodlands, floodplain, and views of the Apalachicola River from river bluffs. It's Florida's version of the mountains!
