PLANK Gourmet Grill & Patio Bar An unforgettable fine dining experience in the heart of Playa del Carmen, created by renowned gourmet Chef Juan Diego Solombrino. After his fascination with plank style cooking, Juan Diego decided to bring this creative gastronomic experience to the Riviera Maya. Cooking and serving their meals on Cedarwood planks and Himalayan salt blocks give their tantalizing dishes a spectacular aroma and infuse them with a mix of intricate flavours. They feature a gourmet family style menu including USDA certified beef, prime seafood selections, gourmet flatbreads and large shareable side dishes. Be sure to try the Scallop-Bacon-Apple appetizer, The Sea Bass entree, their signature creations including Cedar Plank Salmon or their Famous Beef Wellington or their tender Twin Baby Lobster Tails! They are also the perfect venue if you are celebrating a special occasion. We have been visiting IMPREVIST for breakfast and have always been impressed with the quality of food. Now that they are inside PLANK the menu has changed slightly but for the better! And I didn’t think it needed any changes or could get any better-but it is! There is pretty much something for everyone on the menu. Excellent brunch and evening meals. Great location and service. Would highly recommend!
