A world renown art museum founded by Donald Judd. Featuring works of other artists as well, such as Dan Flavin and Robert Irwin. Definitely worth a visit. It’s fairly minimalist and somehow makes sense in the vast plains that surround Marfa. Or you can feel like my son who looked at some of the art and said, “it’s a box”.

Marfa is Marfa because of artist Donald Judd and the Chinati Foundation. Reservations required but the Concrete Works are free and no reservations necessary.

Marfalist.org ...read the forums. It lists all the stuff that is going on in Marfa including art exhibits, concerts, restaurants (seasonal hours and specials), bars, farmers markets and many other happenings in the area
