Do you want to see the ocean? Just 2 hours away is Ocean Shores where you can get an amazing view of the vast Pacific Ocean. The water is cold, so don't plan on swimming.

The access just down the street is walking distance, or travel further south to get to less crowded areas, including an off leash dog area between the access points from Taurus Blvd and Butter Clam St. Most areas of the beach can be driven on, but follow the signs as some areas close to traffic to protect claim beds in non winter months. There are also a couple reasonably priced horse riding companies that operate on the beach.

Ocean Shores is a small coastal city in Washington State. It’s known for its long Pacific beach and network of navigable lakes and waterways. Just north, the shore pine trees and dunes of Ocean City State Park are a haven for migratory birds. South, Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area and Damon Point are nesting sites for snowy plovers. The North Jetty has views of the city of Westport, across Grays Harbor to the south. There are horse, bike or moped rentals, gift stores, and a miniature golf course for family fun.
