Courtenay Airpark is a nice walk along side the Courtenay River which leads into the Comox Bay. Here you will see private planes taking off and landing, kayakers and paddle boarders in the warmer months and plenty of seals and various birds, ducks geese and even trumpeter swans. There is a lovely little cafe named "D's" nestled right inbetween the smaller marina and the entrance to the air field with delicious home cooked food served by very friendly faces. The path along Airport Park is a part of a larger path that runs between downtown Courtenay and the Royston. The Airpark is less than a 5 min drive from The Sweet Spot.

Paved walk along a bird sanctuary. Has a little eatery where the food is made onsite. Also a great coffee shack along the route

There is a nice level paved walkway around the private airstrip and along the waterfront. You can rent kayaks in front of the marina.

In the heart of Courtenay is an airstrip for light planes, right beside the river. It has a walking path right beside it which is very enjoyable.
