Estimated to be over 2 million years old, Al Hoota Cave is located at the foot of Jabal Shams, Oman’s epic mountain. It is the first and only show cave in the Arabian Peninsula with a total length of around 4.5km, of which just 500m is easily accessible to the general public.

This magnificent cave is about 1:30 hours away from Muscat, make sure you book your tickets online two days before going to avoid any disappointments or call their number. If you are planning to visit this place then make sure you also visit Nizwa fort, Al Abryeen village, Nizwa Souq and maybe spend a night in Jabel Al Akhdar (the green mountain)
