Ambleside is a perfect place to spend the summer at the beach and go for strolls year-round while admiring the views of Stanley Park across the water and the ships going under the Lions Gate Bridge in and out from the port in Burrard Inlet. From Ambleside you can walk all the way to Dundarave,…
Park at Ambleside Beach and walk on Sea Wall to Dundarave Beach and Dundarave Village. This is a pleasant walk on a nice day and the seawall is very scenic with views to the east towards Stanley Park and to the west towards Vancouver Island.
Ambleside Beach is a lovely section of beach with logs to rest on, a designated dog section along the east side, a seawall to walk or amble along, and shops nearby to drop by. The adjacent park has sports fields and playground. There is parking onsite that seems easy enough although it may prove…
Sit on the beach, walk, picnic, run, bike, watch the sunset, watch sail boats and cruise ships. The views are outstanding. Great for families, couples or just buy yourself. Bring a picnic or buy something at the concession stand or many neighbouring restaurants.

“A perfect spot for a casual, inexpensive lunch, especially if you are a fan of authentic Mexican. They have a good selection of meat, fish & vegetarian tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soup and salads. It's in a semi-industrial area but if you don't want to sit in get take out, and head to the seawall just near Spa Utopia (on our map), and sit & look over the water to downtown. Shared seating on long tables - no need to make a reservation but you may stand in line for 5-10 mins if you are there at lunch time as it's very popular with locals from the businesses in the area. We reco the chicken mole, fish tacos and the frijoles tacos. Cold "Horchata" is delish too if you like milky drinks.”
