2.5 hours away, but well worth it, one of the best spots in all of the Smokies.

It's one place on earth and the most beautiful place in the smokies. Tons of wildlife, hiking, horseback riding, and perfect place for a picnic.

Beautiful scenic 11 mile loop through Cades Cove. Wildlife viewing is popular. Several original Appalachian log structures and churches are located along the loop. The Abrams Falls trailhead is near the midpoint of the loop. Be aware that crowds can be very heavy on weekends, in fall leaf season, and anytime in the summer. Anticipate 4 hrs to enjoy Cades Cove. Open sunrise to sunset. Sun & Wed mornings before 10 am is reserved for bicycles only.
