Popular with locals and people visiting the area. Always busy, especially when the sun is out. Great spot by the river and nice walks close by down the river.
This pub is the pub in the Book by Phillip Pullman the Belle Sauvage. The pub is located on the other side of Oxford next to a river. They have peacocks wandering around there.
This is right on the river. A bit more pricey but lovely menu. Book in the summer or get there early as it is popular!
Idyllic setting by the river, charming and quaint. Lovely walks on Port Meadow and riverside
Lovely country pub 10 minute drive by the river, with canal path walk into the centre of Oxford

“The Oxford Blue Smoke House began with a few friends who had a passion for American food, in particular American BBQ. This prompted the opening of the extremely popular Chequers Smoke House in Witney. With a strong following and an ever growing number of happy meat lovers dining they then thought it only fair to share the delights of the smoker with the people of Oxford.”

“Take a walk over Port Meadow towards Oxford from Godstow. Half-way to Oxford you will come across a countryside restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. A must visit! ”
