Experience Old Town Cottonwood, then take a walk on the Jail Trail. It starts right at the Old Town curve on Main Street (there is plenty of parking). You can walk or bike from here, all the way to Dead Horse Ranch State Park. We did!

Jail Trail River Walk is a 1.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located at the end of Old Town (across the street from Bocce's) that features a river and is good for all skill levels. Easy. Need appropriate foot wear as is very sandy. Good for birding and javelina sightings.
