This is probably number one recommendation of all museum in Stockholm. Its so cool that this ship is 400 years old.
The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's best preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.
The Vasa museum holds the only preserved seventeenth-century ship in the world and a unique art treasure. More than 95 percent of the ship is original, and it is decorated with hundreds of carved sculptures. The 69 meter-long warship Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in the middle of Stockholm in 1628…
One of the most famous museums of the world. Come and see a fully equipped galant Royal Navy warship from the 1500s. Buried for centuries on the bottom of the ocean in oxygen poor waters the Vasa warship was utterly conserved with all its load and equipment as well. A unique museum and a must see.
Probably the most iconic museum in Stockholm. Impressive with the old warship Wasa in the center of the exhibition. But, don't get stuck with the ship, there is so much more to discover in the museum!
Famous museum on Djurgården. If you go there you can also visit the animal park Skansen and the amusement park Gröna Lund
