Auchentoshan distillery is a single malt whisky distillery in the west of Scotland. The name Auchentoshan is from Gaelic Achadh an Oisein and translates as "corner of the field".

The nearest distillery to Glasgow and one of the last active distilleries in the Lowlands. In common with other Lowland (and Irish) whiskies, Auchentoshan is distilled three times (as opposed to most Scottish malts, which are distilled twice).

If you want to take a trip to a distillery, this is very close to Glasgow city centre and produces a really classy single malt whiskey.
