The big new coffee spot in town is the Sentinel, an all-day lounge/coffeehouse/cocktail bar operated by the team behind the weekly Big Bend Sentinel paper. Revamped menu includes breakfas tacos and expanded selection of Tex-Mex and Mediterranean lunch options. The airy, stylishly redesigned space, which formerly operated as a church and then a honky-tonk, also houses the newsroom. Also nice selection of handcrafted homewares, rugs and other gifts.

The Sentinel is a newer addition to Marfa. The recently renovated building houses a coffee shop, gift shop, lunch counter next door, and it's where the local newspaper operations are too!

Best coffee in town. Runs out of the old Padres space. Our local newspaper-support local journalism! Best coffee in town. Good working space. Great lunch (posole, salads, etc) and pastries. 7am-3pm are current hours.
