“The highest paved road in the USA. Get up above tree line and you can see forever. Sunrise and sunset, stargazing and wildlife watching — it is one of the most scenic drives imaginable. At the top, you will find the Alpine Visitor Center, and you can take a short hike out to the overlook — and short is perfect since you will be over 12,000 feet above sea level. This road closes at Many Park Curve during the winter months, approximately late October - early May depending on snowfall. ”
