Audubon Park is a mere 10 minutes away down 41 South and over the bridge to Kentucky. This park is a family favorite for those that love nature, hiking and wildlife. One of the best kept secrets is tucked away in this park in the nature center that hosts a world class exhibit of Audubon Society prints, along with some of the tablets they were printed on which are owned by the Smithsonian. I kind of got lost in here when I first moved back to Evansville.

The park preserves the peaceful woods where John James Audubon walked as he studied the subjects of his paintings. This traditionally designed course is located in a park. The course was cut out of the woods and has heavily tree-lined fairways. The signature hole is #1, a 331-yard, par 4, which sits atop the second-highest hill in Henderson County. A full-service pro shop, golf cars, pull carts, and clubs are available.
