rent a canoe or kayak and get out on the hillsborough river. many birds, alligators, and turtles. see them from the watch tower too if you dont feel like getting physical

Enter nature’s habitat by visiting Lettuce Lake Park right here in Tampa! At this location it offers a 3,500 ft boardwalk, picnic areas, and playgrounds. There are also other fun things to do like kayaking or canoeing along the still waters. You may see an alligator...or 2 but don’t worry this conservation park is completely safe.

This park is really quiet - in fact we rarely see anyone else there! Great for a long walk along the river especially if you want to see a gator or two! There are boardwalks and lots of shaded walking paths. There is a small entry fee but a couple of dollars is worth it here.
