Homey Indian restaurant with a daily lunch buffet & a large selection of vegetarian dishes. They are not open on Monday.

Lots of online review sites recommend Moti Mahal in Westport as the best Indian food in Midtown, but Grant and I prefer Taj Palace on 39th Street. The lunch buffet is open 7 days a week from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Fair warning --- if you do it right, you won't need to eat again until lunch the next day.
