Brandon, VT is a little gem midway between Rutland and Middlebury, larger and more congested urban areas that complement Brandon’s more rural and relaxed nature. The town is unique in 21st century America in that its downtown is compact and walkable and hosts the necessary services that provide quality-of-life. It is a historic town, with 246 buildings on the National Register, best represented by the iconic Greek-columned Brandon Town Hall and the amazing homes on Park Street, fondly referred to as the most beautiful street in Vermont. If more active recreation is what you are looking for, it is found in Brandon. Brandon is a key gateway to the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, a four-season Mecca for outdoors enthusiasts, from quiet bird-watching to exhilarating mountain biking, in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest. Whether you are using Brandon as a jumping-off point, we are centrally located, or spending a few days relaxing, there are historic and charming inns and quiet B & B’s that provide a range of lodging options. And from those locations, one can stroll downtown for an award-winning dinner, a fun lunch or a delicious home-cooked meal. Or sample the vibrant arts community offerings that have developed over the last decade. The arts community is so vibrant that Brandon has become known as the “art and soul of Vermont.” A favorite venue for Plein air artists is found in Kennedy Park overlooking the upper falls of the Neshobe River.

Quaint New England village with essentials shopping. The town square has recently been renovated so there’s plenty of room for a picnic, relax, read etc. NOT TO BE MISSED: La Provence restaurant and its accompanying bakery.
