Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Guided tours in English and Spanish.
Picturesque Square with old tress and a large statue of the national hero from the time of Independence (General San Martin). Great vistas towards the train station Retiro and old preserved buildings around the neighborhood. People seat in the grass and enjoy pic-nics on sunny days.
Nice walk, close to Florida street. A nice place to relax, seat, and unwind in the heart of the city. You might find a good corner to get some sun, or chill under the amazing ancient trees.
sede de la cancilleria argentina, este palacio es un hito arquitectonico de la ciudad.
A great park in downtown Buenos Aires. With an amazing architectonic and landscaping design, a great place to contrast the concrete jungle!

“This is a very interesting shopping mall. Modeled after the great Italian arcade Gallerias Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, the building was commissioned exclusively for Le Bon Marche. It was originally constructed in the 1890’s as the Buenos Aires headquarters for the Parisian department store. The mall is inside a lovely Beaux Arts building in downtown Buenos Aires.”

“Main attraction of Buenos Aires. The Obelisk was the new icon 100 years ago when the city decided to take a full block lenght perpendicular to the river in order to create avenues and a better connection from north to south. This was the time Buenos Aires started to build the first Subway in the world along with New York.”

“Pricey but really nice place to check out. Also, check out Florida or Avenida Santa Fe.”

“Florida Garden might appear to be just another cafe, but in fact it’s quite historically significant – or at least that’s the claim. According to the owners, writers like Jorge Luis Borges would come to the cafe and have a coffee and pastry while they wrote. Whether or not that is true, the cafe is in a beautiful Belle Epoque building and remains a prime location for a quick coffee and pastry while walking on Florida Street.”
