The 11-mile loop road is a perfect drive when you’re looking to explore a little history and see the beautiful scenery in the Smokies. Many visitors would argue that Cades Cove is one of the most beautiful places to see in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
We do this loop every time we visit. this is the best place to see some wildlife. The waterfall that is in this loop is also an easy hike and a very cool fall.

“Go to the village ... day or night... it’s the most beautiful scene for Gatlinburg. Always decorated for the season with flowers and such. Visit the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen, the Day Hiker, Blue Mountain Mist Soap Company and other quaint shops. This is our favorite. Park around at the local school ... Pi Beta Phi. Parking supports our local school and brings you right into the village across the street. GPS will take you straight to the school. There is a crosswalk from the school to the village. ”
