Findhorn Beach near Forres is another of my favourite places. This is a bit further away at a 40 minute drive, but the beach is beautiful and I’ve sat on the sand by the water close to seals many times. The painted beach huts, long pale sands and Findhorn Bay are also super picturesque. The town of Findhorn also has many places to eat - The Kimberley Inn being a favourite of ours. The Findhorn Foundation is also near here and may be of interest!

Findhorn is a beautiful little village near Forres and is a 15 min drive away. The beach is great for a walk. They have local boat rides which need to be pre booked on the North 50 website . The Kimberly inn sells local seafood and delicious fish and chips as well as other hone made food. There is an eco village and they sell local produce as well as having a cafe on the Findhorn Foundation site. Worth a visit to see the seals at low tide abs the views of the moray firth are amazing . On a clear day you can see across to the Dornoch area.

Findhorn is a historic village located in Moray, a 25 minute drive, that was once an important commercial and fishing port, featuring a thriving shipbuilding industry with trading links to Scandinavia and beyond. The village is focused around the bay, with a beautiful beach. Also home to one of the major sailing and watersports centres along the coastline. Check out some great places to eat whilst you are there including the Kimberley Inn, the Captain’s Table, and the Bakehouse if you fancy a coffee and cake during the day.
