Angora lake is located up a winding road above Fallen Leaf Lake. The parking lot is small and is cash only $6. There is also a short hike from the parking lot but it is worth it. Just don’t bring too much stuff! Swimming is free (water is cold snow melt!) and boats and paddle boards can be rented.

This spot is way off the beaten path and does require a 1 mile easy to moderate walk from the parking area to the lake. There is a general store at the lake open during the summer season. They are FAMOUS for their lemonade! Some of my best childhood Lake Tahoe memories are of swimming in the lake…

Angora lake is a little secluded lake up in the mountains. It is a fun spot to hike up to for the day and hang out! You can rent row boats and kayaks from there . There is a little shop to get snacks and ice cream but other than that you are just in the wilderness!

A hike to get in but beautiful once you make it. Follow the trail all the way back until you see the bathrooms and paddle board rentals at the top.

Beautiful little lake with a beach. About 30 minutes hike from the parking lot. Beware, need to pay for parking. Used to be $7. There is no attendant on site, so take exact change. Closed during the winter and early spring.

“This course has a beautiful layout. It's not very long but challenging nonetheless. The greens were quick and rolled true. Elevation change at this course adds to your distance! ”

“Great place to park and venture off on trails to Fallen Leak Lake and the surrounding area. Lots to explore around those parts. Not patrolled aside from inside the camp ground. Always seems like a dog friendly place in my experience.”
