Dry Falls - along scenic hwy US 64 from our cabin to Highlands, NC. It's a easy site to get to, with some stairs and ramps, right from the parking lot. Good for kids. Also nearby are Glen Falls, Mud Creek Falls, Bust Yer Butt Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Sunset Rock & Whiteside Mountain loop trail!

Stop #3 - Dry Falls is on the left 1.9 miles from Quarry Falls (Stop 2). The location is nicely marked with signage and a maintained parking lot. This waterfall is our favorite along this route. It is a easy & short 0.20 mile walk from the parking area. You must be able to descend a short flight…

Northwest of Highlands is a beautiful and well maintained parking area and walking trail winding through falls flowing over an overhanging bluff that allows visitors to walk under and remain relatively dry, hence its name. Bathrooms onsite.

“Stop #4 - Bridal Veil Falls is difficult to miss as you drive 8/10 of a mile further on Hwy 64. It is a 40 ft. waterfall, located right next to the road after leaving Dry Falls (Stop 3). The road used to go directly behind the falls, but has since been re-routed and the road access blocked. You can still walk and stand behind the falls and take a few pictures. This is a popular spot because even those not driving the route seeking the waterfalls are tempted to stop because of the easy access.”
