Nestled in rural Lancaster, In, the Eleutherian College Classroom and Chapel Building, 1856, and was the first college in Indiana to admit students without regard to race or gender. ... the most active participants in the Underground Railroad were known to be in and around Lancaster....this unique college is an interesting find for the true history buff!

Historic Eleutherian College is worth seeing! It's a beautiful drive, not far from here, and was one of the first College's to admit African-Americans.
