No, there are no sand flies here. Instead you'll find sand dunes, sea lions, and (if your timing is right) yellow-eyed penguins. Penguin sightings most likely in the evening in summer months, but not unheard of at other times. Tide not a big factor in the quality of your experience at this one. …
