20 minutes drive and you will need to pay for parking. There is a cafe there. You can do a decent 5 mile walk/run here.

Salcey forest is a fragment of a former medieval hunting forest. This magnificent woodland has many miles of ancient wood banks, building remains and ancient trees. There is an adventure play area and onsite café selling homemade meals and cakes.
