Oklahoma is rich with Native American history. The SE portions of Oklahoma were initially granted to The Choctaw Nation. The council house is located near Sardis Lake and within 10 minutes or so from the cabin. Even a drive through the grounds is exciting. Look for the Buffalo herd!

Choctaw Nation Indian Capital. Very interesting, worth a visit. Veteran museum, code talkers, perhaps you will get to see a game of stickball!

You just have to go. Plain and simple. Visiting during Labor Day? Then you really, really have to go! All rides, cultural activities, and even head liner acts are included for FREE! Huge amount of parking with transportation to and from parking sites to the Choctaw grounds.
