A twenty minute bus ride from the top of the street will take you to Edinburgh's seaside. A sandy beach and bustling promenade with cafes, restaurants and take aways awaits you. Portobello High Street also offers many lovely shops and there are many charity shops for those of you who like to look for a bargain!

You can catch a bus from North Bridge that will take you to Portobello Beach. Worth a trip to see the promenade.

A great beach to visit in all seasons. The promenade had an array of food and drink places to choose from. Just wear something warm if you plan to sit outside and enjoy the views.
