Construction of the monastery began outside the walls of Gerona when Ramon Borrell sold (992) Abbot dominion over the Sant Pere.The church that can be seen today was built in 1130.

Un antiguo monasterio del que quedan la iglesia y el claustro, construcciones románicas realmente preciosas por sus formas armónicas y sencillas. Para mi profesor de arte del bachillerato el clautro más bello del románico. Justo detrás del ábside de la iglesia encontraréis la Plaza de Narcís Figueras, un pequeño jardin especial para nosotros porqué solemos ir paseando con nuestro perro para disfrutar de la soledad y el silencio.
