It consists of main building and east and west new building, main building was modern Western-style building built in the Meiji era and is designated as a heavy sentence. There is also a special exhibition in spring and autumn, Shosoin honorary exhibition is in autumn. In addition, the annex building was the former imperial museum era (1895), an important tangible cultural asset designated by the country.
