Dokk1 is Aarhus' natural gathering point. The culture and multimedia house is for everyone, locals and guests - yes, for you who want to meet the future in the present in a diversity for both large and small.
Won the award of "Public Library of the year" in 2016. Absolutely free, you can browse the shelves and read books, play board games, see the innovative self-return system and grasp amazing views of the harbour.
Great public library that is so much more than a library! Great views over the habour and a great playground for kids
A must. the architecture is award winning and its an interesting take on how to make libray interesting. Keep in mind that it is a libray, so try to be quiet and show respect.

“Very nice - can be cold as it is to the east. Caution: Beware of possible semi-strong undertow for the young ones and the wind blow away from the coast on most days - no rubber boats and no children swimming alone. On windy days with the wind blowing towards the beach it can be very fun as the waves can grow large enough to throw a grown man over. If you take proper care you can reach 1st, 2nd and maybe even 3rd sandbanks and still stand on your feet when on the banks. But again - do not try this with younger children.”
