Although grounded in history, Poole Forge is a vibrant place to visit in the 21st century. Set on the site of a colonial iron forge, the gorgeous grounds feature a Covered Bridge over the Conestoga River, historic stone buildings (including an Ironmaster’s Mansion, a lime kiln, a Paymaster’s building, currently a bed and breakfast and two tenant houses). The abundant gardens and stately trees provide plenty of colorful blooms spring through fall. It’s the perfect place to visit for a quiet walk, fishing, bird watching, family picnics and children’s playground.

A great local park and historic site. Kids playground, plenty of grass to run around, fishing in the creek, and a beautiful old covered bridge!

Beautiful park where you can drive through a covered bridge. Playground area for kids with a creek running through the property.
