I have done this with my kids and we always enjoyed it. I believe they have different rides you can take. I believe they are closed in the winter.

Something different for guests ….South of Carbondale about a 20 mile drive. Open mid March through mid November. Guided horse back trails. Pony rides for smaller children 12 and under 20 dollars per child for hand guide. 65 dollars per adult approx. one hour trail 3.2 miles through Shawnee Forest. …departure times 9am, 11am, 1pm. Reservations recommended but walk ins accepted.
