Great hiking in an old growth forest. There is also beach access to Smuggler's Cove or Short Sand Beach--a very popular surf spot!

This is my absolute favorite beach. The walk down through the old growth forest, streams, and little bridge is stunning, and the beach has a cave at one end and a waterfall at the other. This is also THE surf beach for all levels, and great for kids because there is a sand bar that keeps a large shallow area of water a little warmer than the freezing pacific!

Take a 15 minute walk through the woods to a beautiful surfing beach. Or find a trail and go for a longer hike.

This is the favorite surf spot only a 3 min drive south from our cabin. It's stunning and quite a hangout during the summer months. You can also hike here from our cove if you take the trail on Falcon Cove Rd near the hwy but it's a 3 hour hike (even though it's only 3min drive!) It's really amazing view of different types of forests, old growth, cliffs, etc.
