With 30 kilometres of connecting trails throughout Macedon Regional Park, it’s no wonder visitors drive the short distance to enjoy a bush walk and barbecue picnic. If it’s your lucky day you may encounter native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. Or an abundance of birds including rosellas, galahs, majestic eagles and tiny blue wrens. In winter the park transforms into a mushroom fairyland, with nature lovers exploring trails to discover an abundance of wild funghi over the cool autumn and winter months.

Wonderful scenery with lots of hiking trails for all ages and experience. It can get cold in the hills, so make sure you dress accordingly and always remember to carry water, and tell someone where you are going.
