Juans Smoked Fish Tacos is a must try while here in Puerto Escondido. My go-to are the fried fish tacos. I recommend starting with 2 as the portion size is large and the meal is accompanied by fresh chips and a variety of home-made salsas. Grab a freshly made iced tea or a cold beer to complete this delicious dining experience!

Managed by a well-known local family, El Viejo specializes in smoked fish tacos. This restaurant is in walking distance to Casa Nopal.

This is a legendary spot. Best fish tacos on this side of town. Juan (who recently passed and nobody is over it in town), is a legendary surfer here and also makes fantastic smoked fish. Go for lunch or after beach snacks. Get the fish and the smoked fish. Thank me later.
