This park on Cayuga Lake is the best for picnics, swimming and boating. There is a trail leading to the bottom of the spectacular waterfall.

After you’ve hiked the gorge or rim Trail at Taughannock, driver across the road for a picnic or swim at Cayuga lake. There’s a large playground and areas to bike or kayak.

One of the tallest waterfalls in the region and an easy walk along the bottom trail these falls are well worth the drive year round. Just remember winter in New York means icy trails!

The highest single drop waterfall east of the Mississippi. A sight! Hike, wade in the water. Have a picnic (with charcoal grills), and swim in Cayuga Lake at Taughannock Falls State Park.
