“If you come in Marseille you have to get there ! Notre dame de la Garde is a church dedicated to Marie which is on the top of a higher mount in Marseille. From a Christian site, it has become for all Marseille inhabitants, a kind of symbol of the city whatever religion they follow, if ever they follow one. Most important, from its foot you can see a panorama of all the city, it is really wonderful. You can get there by car, bus, touristic train, taxi , but remember that the last hundred meters have to be walked on foot and to make a wish once up there ! ”
