Beautiful and almost deserted, Banana Beach (sometimes called 'Banana Rock Beach') is not known to many people in Phuket as it is relatively isolated. Nevertheless, it really is one of Phuket's most glittering gems as far as beaches go and has the aura of a 'hidden beach'.

Hidden gem - tiny picturesque beach! Steep hill - be prepared to walk a bit! Park the car and go down for an unforgettable tropical scenery.

Ko He at Banana beach is the best for one day tirp, it is a very clean beach and not far from Phuket. Get the boat from Rawai beach, THB1500 for round trip.

Banana Beach gets its rather interesting name from its crescent-shaped strand. Hard to find, yet rewarding, you'll need to trek downhill through a wooded area to reach the beach. There's a beachfront restaurant if you need to refuel throughout the day. Swimming is not a good idea between May and November. It's best to skip the beach at high tide and on windy days. When the weather is calm, there’s no beating Banana Beach for tranquillity and photo opportunities. Location: Choengtalay, Thalang, Phuket 83110, Thailand
