Protected, shallow water beach area typically for young children. But makes for a nice beach to take a dip when you want something in town. Access by walking from the Kona Aquatic Center, crossing the soccer field and using the beach access path.

This is our favorite beach for our kids. A sheltered sandy pond great for kids. Park at the grass field behind the Kona Pool, walk across field to the left back corner to find the path that takes you down to cross the road of a private subdivision and then leads to the beach. No bathrooms, no showers and no shade.

Great laid back beach for small children (nice for adults too:). It has some beautiful large tide pools to frolic in and a little sandy beach. You park near the soccer fields and public pool at old airport. Then walk through the soccer fields through an opening in the fence. Keep going through the neighborhood and you will be at the Keiki ponds beach.
