Approx 30 min drive. Scone Palace was the crowning place of Scottish kings where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were once crowned.
historic beautiful Palace , where our Kings of Scotland were crowned 5 mins by car from Arisaig or a 40 minute walk
Scone Palace - beautiful historic palace and gardens with very friendly & stunning peacocks! There’s a great play park for the kids plus a maze for them to run around in.
Good Palace tours, shop, coffee shop and walks in the grounds and along the River Tay.

“If you are looking for a bite to eat with some beautiful views I would recommend Loch Leven’s Larder. The food is great and the views are just superb! The cafe is doggie-friendly too which is super convenient. Just be sure to book in advance, especially at the weekend. Once you’ve eaten you can then take a beautiful walk around the Loch, home to the historic Loch Leven Castle, where Mary, Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567 and if you walk far enough (around 4 miles on the walking path) you can get a ferry across and learn more about her.”
