About 1 Hour - Fun morning with the kids, and just right for adults who want to learn some of the history of San Ramon without overload. This wonderful little spot is directly off the promenade North of the park, and is a great treat when the rains come in. Sometimes projects are going on for the little ones, just poke around and ask! It is very small - read up on the history of the building itself (used to be 2 stories!). As a history buff myself, I think it is just enough to see and read after a morning coffee and just wanting a peaceful stroll. Almost always 2-3 visitors tops, if that, have been there when we visit. And with 2 rambling, boys, I always though their laughter alone would crack the walls! I honestly can't remember if there is a charge - I think you just walk right in. If anything, it is a few dollars per person. Almost always has a special exhibit up front which is always wonderfully designed. Also has a bathroom for about 200 colones! Anyone could use it pre-pandemic, as guidelines change, not sure what the deal is now. Enjoy! Say hi to my giant sloth!!!

Cute Museum with different exhibits on San Ramon and surrounding areas including a gravesite found here dating to the pre-columbian era. Just off the park so easy to get to. Plan to spend about an hour. Children's play area too.

San Ramón Regional Museum Save Share Museum in San Ramón On the northern edge of San Ramón park, this informative museum run by the University of San Ramón accounts the cultural heritage of the area with a number of exhibition rooms around a central courtyard. Here you can peruse local art, a historic timeline, explanations about local geology and economic information, and see local plant-life in the pleasant courtyard.
